   Our Mission
The Mid-South Interfaith Network for Economic Justice is a
coalition of members of the faith community who seek justice in the
workplace. Our mission is to partner with people of faith in order to
improve wages, benefits, and working conditions for the hard-working people
of the Mid-South, especially those who earn low wages. We believe that every
person has God-given dignity that must be respected in the workplace. We
honor our Creator by seeking to assure that workers are able to live decent
lives as a product of their labor.

Our members are clergy and laity from a variety of faith traditions and
denominations who care about working people in our community. We
invite you to join us. We welcome your voice.

   Seeking a Living Wage
Despite hard work, many Mid-Southerners can't make ends meet on their
wages alone. The Mid-South Interfaith Network is partnering with other faith,
community, and labor organizations in a living wage campaign that will raise the
wages of significant numbers of Memphis workers.

   Protecting Worker Rights
Too often, Mid-South workers who are organizing for positive change at their
workplaces face opposition and even retaliation for their efforts. The Mid-South
Interfaith Network partners with workers seeking decent wages, family benefits,
and safe and respectful working conditions, knowing that the presence of the
faith community can make a critical difference in whether workers' rights are
   respected by employers.

   Educating Congregations
The Mid-South Interfaith Network offers education that will motivate and
sustain long-term action against economic injustice in our community. We
provide worship and other educational resources, workshops, and a
   Labor Day speakers' program
for congregations and clergy and lay leaders
who want to keep up to date on issues workers are facing and how to take action.
